Yesterday was Labor Day! It was the first day off Eric has had in a month...that's right i said month. He has been working 7 days a week for the last 4 weeks. Sucks huh, you have no idea. We decided to do something fun with the boys, since they haven't really seen him at all. So, we took them to the zoo. They had a blast! The last time we went to the zoo Carson was only a few months old, it has been over a year! It was an interesting trip. We took the kids to Wendy's for lunch, they love their nuggets, and there was this weird guy there. Eric said he was having war flash backs, which he very well could have been. Anyways, he was eating in the booth kitty-corner to us, and next thing we know he is chucking his dog tags across the room. Then he kept putting his head in his hands and glancing out the corner of his eye over to where his tags were. I know weird right? Well it freaked me out, something was wrong with this guy.
Then i decided that since we were already on N. Temple street it would be faster to go through the Avenues. With my old job, going through there was a frequent thing so I thought it would be easy. Well, not so much. I made it through there but it would have just been easier up Foothill. So apparently my driving directions are not as they were 5 years ago!!
The zoo was CROWDED!! Everybody and their dog was there. I don't know how, but every time we go somewhere we always end up following obnoxious people. This trip it was a big family, and the moms of all the kids kept yelling, and yelling. Eric is not a person to just ignore things like that so you can only imagine the things he was saying to me....LOUDLY! The kids had a great time though and that's all that matters. We took them on the train ride very last, and i have never seen Mak's eyes so big in my life! I think it was the highlight of his day! Anyways, here are some pictures of our adventure...sorry no pictures of the crazy people we encountered!!
