I found this video of Mak batting. Thought I would share it!!
Come and read about the crazy banter of a single mother with two wild boys. Should prove entertaining...MOST of the time!

Planters
One more project down!! I am so excited cause these turned out really cute. Plus they make my bench not look so lonely. I will not lie, these things were a pain in the BUTT! We searched on-line for plans and couldn't find anything, instead we found a site that you could buy the same planters for $150.00, and they were vinyl! I wasn't going to pay 150 per planter for a piece of vinyl that the Utah wind would destroy. BIG waste of money. We decided to make some. Like I said these were not very easy. The hardest part was the angle. Had we made them straight they would have been much easier. We liked the the look of the angle though, so chose that path. With the wood we bought and the nails and screws this project ended up being about $40.00 for both planters! AND THEY ARE WOOD!! These puppies stand about 3ft tall and about 1 1/2 ft wide at the top. HUGE!!!
These were a screen shot of the vinyl ones I found that inspired our minds.
before we stained them.
black and coated.
The flowers I added in them. Right now they are little, but hopefully they will grow bigger before I end up killing them. :)
My next project I am thinking about is painting the mailbox, and fixing the house numbers. I haven't decided what colors or anything like that. It needs to be updated. That might be more of a winter project though.
Bear Lake
This year for Memorial Day weekend my parents took the boys up to Bear Lake with them because I had to work. They promised the boys they could go to the lake, but on Saturday it was cold and rainy. They took them anyways. She sent me these pictures, and they turned out really cute!
LOVE THESE CUTE BOYS OF MINE!!

HiPPiE rUn 2014
This year I have signed up for a lot of races, and they are all sounding so fun. Last night was the first one of the year. The Hippie/Glow run. It was a night time 5k. I had a blast doing it, and so did the girls that did it with me. They had music and dancing after the run, and a mascot (Lion) wandering around and running the course with us.
Mindy, Shauna, and me
Mindy, Shauna, me, and Rachel
Mindy had this number assigned to her, but she is very superstitious. I traded numbers with her so she didn't have to run with it. Nothing bad happened!! Silly girl
Projects so Far
I started doing some projects this year. So far they have been really fun. I started with a baseball wreath. I needed something for my front door, and this just was too cute not to make!
I also made a bench for my front porch. It was really easy and it was CHEAP!! $15.00 to make and stain. It looks so cute.
Plus I think it was made for my porch! My current project is making wood planters. They are going to stand 3ft tall, and be black. I was thinking about putting one on each side of my bench...if they fit. I will put pictures of those when they are finished. I'm sooooo excited!!
TEE-BALL
This year Mak started playing Tee-ball. He loves it! He looks so cute in his uniform.
Here he is running to 1st base.
Batting. I think at this point he had just hit the ball
He is pitcher right here. He really does well in this position. Knows exactly what to do and where to throw it.
Up to bat
In field ready
Throwing to 1st. I love this picture. Such a good action shot
They don't have outs in tee-ball, and they don't really have any innings. They play for an hour and go through the whole line up running one base at a time. Then they switch field for batting. Its really fun watching them play. Mak likes to play guns when he gets bored, or put his mitt over his face.
Easter 2014
I'm a little behind on posts here...as usual! This year for Easter I had the boys after they got back from their dad's house. We had enough time to do an Easter Egg Hunt when they got back before the sun went down. They had a lot of fun.
